We cannot do it all, but we can all do something. There are many organisations that are doing an amazing job and it can be a challenge to choose where you will put your own efforts. Mai Kappenberger’s choice of organisations and projects is selected from the point of view that you always have to take responsibility for the people in your own village, meaning locally. And then you must do something for the world. Hence she has chosen to collaborate with a local organisation and an international organisation.
Red Cross & AIDS-Fondet
Mai Kappenberger has been a brand ambassador for Red Cross, and member of the ambitious “Klub 10,” since 2014. Among her most successful fund-raising projects was the Diamond Bingo at Kurhotel Skodsborg.
In her time at Kurhotel Skodsborg Mai Kappenberger collaborated with AIDS-Fondet (The Danish AIDS Foundation) on raising funds towards a generation without HIV at Kurhotel Skodsborg.
Børneulykkesfonden & Danner
In March 2020 Mai Kappenberger will climb the Tsergo Ri in Himalaya to collect donations for local children’s charity, Børneulykkesfonden.
While CEO at Kurhotel Skodsborg Mai Kappenberger collaborated closely with the Dannerfoundation on fighting violence against women by empowerment and education.
